Dogs Trust

Help us drive dogs to safety this Christmas

In the last 6 months, our drivers have been busier than ever, with 112% more dogs coming to us from the pounds. Like poor old Seamie – found abandoned at 11 years old. With cataracts in both eyes and no one coming forward to collect him, Seamie almost certainly would’ve been put down if it weren’t for Dogs Trust.

Driving dogs away from abandonment…

Seamie was collected by one of our six ambulances, fitted out with state-of-the-art air conditioned cages to transport him securely and comfortably. The dogs are checked on every 3 hours, and our drivers even play classical music to soothe and settle them during their journey – apparently Beethoven was a real hit with Seamie.

… and towards a healthy, happy future

On reaching our centre, Seamie, like the 1,500 – 2,000 other dogs delivered every year, was given a hero’s welcome and lots of love. And after being checked over by our gentle staff to ensure he’s fighting fit, he’s now ready to embark on the best part of his journey – finding his forever home.
